Open to cybersecurity and software roles
José Antunes
Cybersecurity engineer and full-stack developer.
I administer a Wazuh SIEM running in production at FCUL, spent the first half of 2026 teaching system administration and SecOps on two national training programmes, and I am still the only developer on a Laravel application that has been live for over three years. Two internships graded 19/20, and a Master's in Information Security at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Lisbon. I build the thing, then work out how it breaks.
Things I built
Eight projects, one page each.
-
Yukimura Sushibar platform
Public site and management panel, built over a 2024 database I inherited and never normalised. Mandatory two-factor authentication, full audit logging, a read-only API.

CloudStack infrastructure lab
A private cloud on a Dell PowerEdge R710, built to be secured rather than only to run. Directory integration, my own certificate authority, segmented networking.

Homelab
A Raspberry Pi 3B+ that drives my 3D printer, filters DNS for the whole house, terminates a VPN, and reports into a dashboard I wrote to keep it in one place.

Document classification & GDPR obfuscation
Two APIs for a live document management system. One sorts incoming documents, the other finds and masks the personal data inside them.

The Lena Project
A horror and science fiction game built in Unity by a team of six. Characters and story are settled, environments are in greybox.

GoRepair
An offline app that tracks repairs, resales and parts stock for my retro hardware business, and works out what I actually made on each job.

Contract expiry Worker Service
A cross-platform background service that watches contract dates and warns the owner before anything lapses, plus a crawler that feeds it external data.

InMoov humanoid robot
A life-size humanoid printed and assembled from scratch with my school's robotics club, down to rebuilding the 3D printer that made it. Awarded at the national final.

Where I've worked

Present
Wazuh SIEM administrator
FCUL, Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa
I administer a Wazuh SIEM installation running in production at the faculty. Most of the work is the unglamorous half of security operations, keeping the platform healthy and the access rights correct so that the detections are worth reading. Incidents I have handled on the live system include the following.
- Disk saturation on the indexer.
- OpenSearch heap exhaustion.
- Shard recovery.
- User and access management.

C-Academy, Centro Nacional de Cibersegurança
C-Academy is the advanced cybersecurity training programme run by the Portuguese national cybersecurity centre and delivered by FCUL. I taught the Administração de Sistemas em Rede course, built the lab environments the students worked in on VirtualBox, Docker, Rocky Linux and Debian, wrote the practical guides that went with them, and set and graded the assessments. The practical assessment ran on .
- Access control and user management, covering authentication methods and MFA, SSH, LDAP with FreeIPA, single sign-on with Keycloak over OpenID Connect, multi-factor authentication with PrivacyIDEA, and adaptive access control with Zero Trust and SAML.
- Systems governance, covering NIS2, Portuguese Decree-Law 125/2025, COBIT, the ISO/IEC standards and NIST CSF 2.0.

UPskill, Digital Skills & Jobs · Lisbon
I taught two courses on the UPskill programme, ServiceNow, and Networks and Cybersecurity. I wrote the teaching material, built the hands-on labs in VirtualBox and set the assessments.
- Web fundamentals with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Cloud computing and virtualisation.
- SSH and Linux system administration.
- Docker and containers, from image creation to networking and registries.
- SecOps, covering SOC, SIEM and SOAR with Wazuh, Shuffle and MITRE ATT&CK, including workshops where students wrote their own playbooks and runbooks.

sinceFull-stack developer
Yukimura Sushibar · Lisbon
Sole developer of the restaurant's Laravel application, the public site and the management panel behind it. I own the whole stack, from the database and features to deployment. Recent work has been security, with mandatory two-factor authentication across the panel, authorisation graded by whether an action can be undone, hashed API tokens, a Content Security Policy and an audit log of every change. More on this project.

to
Curricular internship
Link Consulting · hybrid
Built two APIs for Edoclink, an in-production document management platform. One classifies incoming documents automatically, the other detects and obfuscates personal data so documents can be shared under GDPR. More on this project.

Professional internship
Prológica · Lisbon
Four assignments, worked through with one colleague.
- Syslog, how it works on Windows and on Linux.
- Bootstrap, templates for the company web application.
- Worker Service, a C# service running on both platforms that emails advance notice before a contract or proposal expires.
- Crawler, a C# crawler that pulls data out of an external web application and filters it with regular expressions. More on these two.

What I do with my hands
Retro hardware repair
PS1, PS2, PS3, Game Boy, PSP and Sega consoles. Buying them broken, fixing them and selling them on is also what GoRepair exists to keep track of.
3D printing
FDM, and currently working my way into resin. It started with the InMoov robot and never quite stopped.
